In 2012 we were were delighted when we collected Reedmace Sweetbriar Floss for Elgert JW from Holland. Florence or as she has been affectionately known Foreign Florence - she really loved the showring & consistently won as a youngster, winning her JW at Midland Counties 2012 - she was the first imported Field Spaniel to do this, very proud of her.  She then came out of the ring for a while to have some wonderful puppies – her first litter was by Sh Ch Kingsmist Eternal Knight, she had 9 beautiful puppies, who we are very proud of, all in wonderful caring homes, as much loved family members, some in she show ring & breeding programs. Tuesday in USA with Karen Balinski. Tuesday - Killara Field Spaniels (killaraspaniels.com) has proven a fabulous brood bitch, Nico Venken in Belgum has Rana who has also produced some lovely dogs Rana - www.canefields.be. Over here we have Elgert Sweet Little Lies for Gadhelic with Carol Moore who has been consistently placed at shows. I also have my Albert Elgert Rumour Has It JW who did very well as a youngster but a thunder & lightening storm at a show made him fearful at shows so he enjoys the quiet life at home now but has sired some amazing youngsters.

Her 2nd litter was to Sh Ch Sonnetend Finishing Touch at Shirmal, again producing 9 wonderful puppies, with several in the showring that make me very proud, Elgert Let's Dance at Benbreac with Pam Davies, consistently placed at Champ Shows & a new Dad, Elgert Starman at Redbornstoke shown here but now living in Holland, Elgert China Girl For Gadhelic with Carol Moore with some fabulous babies to her name as well as some impressive wins.  Elgert Lady Midnight with Ron & Sue Crow who spends half her time here and half her time winning so well in France and then my own Sh Ch Elgert Lady Sta'dust JW who again has produced some lovely puppies both here and abroad.

After her maternal duties Florence came back out to the ring and had an amazing time, winning her title, her Show Certificate of Merit and going on to win Best of Breed at Crufts 2018.  She won several Best Veteran in Show Awards before she retired from the show ring.  A real showgirl who loved her time in the ring.  She has also attended my local shoot and I was delighted when on Juniors Day we had myself with Florence, her son Ezra with my late friend Hilary Jones (RIP) on the beating line and then my daughter Melissa on the gun line, a very proud moment indeed  – a real family occasion!

So proud of how this wonderful lady has influenced the Field Spaniel world in the show/breeding programs for many people.
